
1997:
Earned top fuel license at age 17 with a 4.92-second pass being his first four-second pass. Also the first four second "license" pass in ANDRA history.
1999:
Made NHRA debut; Recorded his first 300mph pass in Phoenix. Andrew became the youngest Top Fuel finalist (19) in NHRA history, posting a runner-up finish to Cory McClenathan at the US Nationals, Indianapolis, his first NHRA career final. The same year Andrew became the quickest and fastest teenager in the world, recording a 4.58 @ 314 mph in Topeka, Kansas. which still stands today.
2000:
Andrew was awarded the Australian Sports medal and was the winner of the Australian Motorsports “Drag Racer of the Year” award.
2001: Ran over the 320 mph mark the first time in his career in Dallas, Texas.
Andrew recorded top speed of NHRA'S 50th Anniversary event recording 321.12 mph. Andrew advanced to his second NHRA career final round with Kenny Bernstein in Las Vegas, Nevada. Finished 11th in the NHRA Top Fuel points chase running a limited schedule.
2002:
Andrew steering Darryl Gywnn's Top Fuel Dragster, laid down the quickest pass of the NHRA season, recording a 4.490 elapsed time and set the track e.t. record at Pomona Raceway during the season-opening Winternationals en route to first career No. 1 qualifying effort. Andrew qualified No. 1 four times that season and made his 3rd NHRA career final round with Kenny Berstein in St louis, Missouri. Set track speed record at Englishtown with a pass of 327mph. Finished 8th in the Poweraid points standing. Andrew competed in Australia for a one off race in his family's owned team and set low elapsed time, top speed of the event, reset both ends of the record, broke the 500kph barrier and won his first ANDRA career victory over Jim Read in Queensland, Australia.
